Bloodhound
The Bloodhound is a large scent hound, originally bred for hunting deer, wild boar, and for tracking people since the Middle Ages. Believed to be descended from hounds once kept at the Abbey of Saint-Hubert, Belgium, it is known to French speakers as le chien de Saint-Hubert. Bloodhounds are a highly active and intelligent canine breed with a remarkable sense of smell that has earned them a specific niche in law enforcement and search and rescue. Their followers adore them because of their nice demeanour and distinct look.
Having been kept on the grounds of wealthy churches in Western Europe and keenly bred by monks and bishops to produce aristocratic families, the Bloodhound bears a certain historical pedigree that nicely complements its intellectual look. Known to be easy-going and carefree, Bloodhounds are pleasant to have around the home and quickly grow affectionate toward their owners showering them in love at every chance they get.
The Bloodhound boasts a completely unique appearance with its long, sad face and droopy, wrinkly skin. Their manner, however, is impeccable and provides many brands globally with an air of trust and honour.
