K-pop stars BTS have teamed up with UNICEF to front the charity’s #ENDviolence campaign, celebrating the UN’s International Day of Friendship.

Who are BTS?

BTS is a seven-member, record-breaking, south Korean group that are using their fame to promote a variety of great causes. As well as the messages they encourage, the lyrics in their songs also include issues such as mental health and the multiple pressures in the music industry.

They became ambassadors for UNICEF last year and were invited to give a speech at the United Nations. The speech was delivered by the group’s leader, RM (real name Kim Namjoon), who spoke about his childhood and the hardships he faced as a member of BTS.

The Boy With Luv hitmakers recently featured in a short film encouraging ‘young people to brighten someone’s day with kindness’. They also formed part of the group’s Love Myself campaign in support of the charity. They stated “Our LOVE MYSELF campaign is all about encouraging every young person to find the love from within themselves and spreading that love to others. We want everyone to take part in ending violence by sharing love and kindness”.

Animal Violence

Unfortunately, animals also are victims are violence and abuse. Some of the animals listed with Urban Paws UK have rough backstories. After finding their forever homes, however, they have gone on to star in a variety of roles in media.

At Urban Paws UK always encourage all types of animals to join our agency, big or small, scaly or furry, it doesn’t matter, we want every animal to have time to shine in the spotlight. More importantly, we believe every animal deserves the right to live a happy life.

Our perfectly imperfect animals know the importance of feeling comfortable with themselves and don’t allow their imperfections to stop them from becoming pet influencers, pet models or even animal actors!
