More information about this dog
River & Chayse are two male, red tri Australian Shepherds.
River is a 5 year old, male, red tri Australian Shepherd with a full tail. He was born & bred in Denmark & came to the UK when he was 10 months old. He is a very sweet & loving boy is friendly with everyone he meets & providing there is food he will work for anyone also.
River is an ex show dog who won his class at Crufts in 2012. He has basic obedience training, as well as experience in agility & flyball training & also has his Gold KC Good Citizen Award. He is very easy to train & is willing to learn pretty much anything. He is clicker trained & responds to food best. River will sit, down, wait, stay, turn left, turn right, beg, walk backwards, jump up, hold items & give both paws.
He has amazing herding instincts & often herds the sheep next door for the farmer although he is not properly trained. Due to his herding instincts he is not great with small ferries or cats. River is pretty good with other dogs, he gets a bit flirty and will grumble if the other dog is too full on or dominant. He is best working alone depending on the role required.
This handsome chap is very lively & loves swimming; a real life action dog. He is fantastic with people & children of all ages.
Chayse is an 8 yr old red tri Australian Shepherd also with full tail. He weighs around 32kg & stands approximately 25 inches at the shoulder. He is a big boy with a big personality; he is very friendly & extremely lively & loves nothing more than human companionship. He is very handsome, very easy to train & a general clown.
He is very very attached to his handler & is unlikely to work for anyone else other than her as he is very strong willed. Chayse is trained in Agility, competitive obedience & Flyball & he was also a good show dog in his younger days. He has his Gold KC Good Citizen Award. Chayse is obedience trained & will sit, down, wait, stay, turn left/right, beg, walk backwards, hold objects, lie flat & jump up.
He is good with cats, people & children but can be funny with other male dog’s particularly entire males & those that have a tendency to stare. Therefore he is best working alone or with female dogs only.
Both dogs are suitable pets for specific briefs requiring animal talent.
