Laz – Bouvier Des Flandres
Breed: Bouvier Des Flandres
More information about this dog
Laz is a Bouvier Des Flandres, a 7-year-old boy, weighing about 36kg and a very unusual breed. The Bouvier is a powerfully built compact rough-coated dog of rugged appearance. It gives the impression of size & strength without clumsiness or heaviness. Perhaps its most notable feature is the impressive head which is accentuated by a heavy beard & moustache. He has a thick shaggy coat & looks very handsome once groomed professionally but he normally just has a scruffy appearance. His fur is kept shorter in the summer months but he is allowed to grow his fur for the winter.
Pet Acting / Modelling Ability
Laz is a very calm dog & gets on with all other dogs but prefers on first meeting to be off the lead and likes to say hello once he’s observed them for a little while. He is great with children also.
He is respectful & can be dismissive & will wait until a human is ready for him so he will be ideal to work with people who aren’t confident around dogs. Laz by nature is a very calm dog but loves to go on walks, paddling through streams, bathing in muddy puddles, collecting undergrowth from his walks in his thick shaggy coat, playing with his human companions especially tug of war.
Jump (up onto people)
Give his paw
He is very open to learning & responds well to new tasks, if ham & cheese are involved, he will pretty much do anything for.
His breed is becoming more popular in the UK since Hector, a Bouvier won Best Working Dog in Crufts 2016 and got through to the finals. He is a stunning animal with ideal suitability for small roles.
