Breed: Border Collie
More information about this dog
Demelza is a female Border Collie that has tons of tricks under her belt as well as being a stunning red merle collie.
Pet Acting / Modelling Ability
Demelza has a bold temperament and nothing fazes her, which is great for pet acting roles. She does prefer to follow commands from her owner rather than strangers (although she is very friendly with people).
Demelza has been clicker trained from 8 weeks of age and it is an ongoing process to further her already extensive repertoire. She is food and toy motivated and is never happier than when she is working on new moves and tricks.
She has an excellent temperament and is good with people, children and other dogs. A great asset is that she tends to ignore other animals and will happily mingle with actors, cameramen and any equipment, even in very noisy situations. She works to both verbal and visual cues and is able to work at a distance.
She has her Kennel Club Bronze, Silver and Gold Certificates and this year was even named Heelwork to Music Dog of the Year.
This little collie knows over 100 tricks and counting, these include:
Open a cupboard,
Do CPR on a stuffed dog / turn it over / push it,
Push a child’s car,
