Bertie – Pekingese
More information about this dog
Bertie is a stunning male Pekingese. He is best described as the ‘class clown’ as he is a cool dude who always makes people laugh! This little dog loves being at the centre of the action, particularly if there is food around.
Pet Acting/Modelling Ability
As a unique pet model, he is very food motivated, which helps with his training and also helps to motivate him. This clever little dog has all basic commands and of course, he also does a cute head tilt which looks adorable. He is happy to be placed in most positions for stills photography and will also happily wear pet clothing & accessories with no issues. All his tricks are worked to voice signals only and from a distance and he will happily work with strangers.
Happy being carried/handled
Bertie has a great temperament, being sociable & friendly. Bertie is also very curious about other animals that he has come across (sheep, rabbits, birds etc). Bertie loves meeting dogs but does so in a calm manner. Any dog that approaches him with manners he is absolutely fine with. He hasn’t any real contact with cats to date.
He is great with children and adults. He represented his breed at Crufts on the Discover Dogs stand 2018. The stand was very busy all day with lots of people approaching Bertie and his two sisters. He was happy to be cuddled and stroked by adults and children. He is like a little magnet – people were drawn to him all day.
In all, Bertie makes a stunning pet model for small roles according to his skill set.
