Asos and Adidas – The hottest collaboration of the year
With much of the UK finally starting to return to some semblance of normality, Adidas and Asos are providing the perfect excuse to get outdoors (safely) and into the sun, with their brand new Tennis Luxe collection.
The 36-piece sportswear collection features everything from retro-inspired skirts and cropped tees, to cardigans, pleated dresses and, of course, Adidas Originals trainers. But that’s not why we’re excited about the new line…
The promotional marketing for the collection launched on Instagram, and features social media influencer and fashion model Alicia Roddy (@lissyroddyy) and our very own super(dog)model Iraida the Afghan Hound.
Who is Iraida the Afghan Hound?
For those who would like a little bit of a catch up on Iraida’s credits as a dog model, she has previously worked with some of the best-known names in the business, including Harvey Nichols, Harpers Bazaar, Gucci, Burberry, Chanel, and River Island. Not only that, but she has also spent time with the girl band Little Mix as Jade Thirwell’s companion during a dog training competition!
When it comes to canine modelling, Iraida the Afghan Hound is an international powerhouse with work featured globally.
Tennis Luxe ‘21
Launched on social media, the new sportswear range features in a delightfully retro teen movie parody in the vein of cult classics Legally Blonde and Clueless, starring Alicia Roddy as an “ordinary girl in an Adidas world” and Iraida as Daphne the dog.
The marketing materials don’t end there though! With additional images released showcasing the pair modelling the line in a stunning cream coloured property decorated with an incredible marble fireplace and staircase.
The culmination of the piece ties together perfectly, creating an instantly iconic and fun teaser for what is sure to be one of the hottest new sports lines. With Wimbledon 2021 just around the corner, we’re certain this isn’t the last of Tennis Luxe we will be seeing.
