Barking Mad launch #CelebrityDogHobbes TV advert
Television fame has been announced by Barking Mad, the UK’s leading dog sitting company, in a dog care industry first!
Throughout the country, dog loving followers of the canine holiday specialists have been intrigued by the appearance of the mysterious #waitingforHobbes hashtag and curious images of dogs anticipating the arrival of a furry superhero. Barking Mad can now excitedly reveal that the long awaited hero is the absolutely adorable Cockerpoo, Hobbes, who is undisputably the star of their very first TV advert. Trainer Isa Randle describes him as, “a very clever little boy who loves training and being on set.
Lee Dancy, Barking Mad founder and MD, enthuses,
“This is the most exciting development in the history of our business. It’s a dream come true to actually see Barking Mad on TV and we are very proud of our fantastic family of business owners, staff, hosts and customers, who have all helped to make this happen! Becoming a part of the Franchise Brands plc Group has enabled us to take the next step in gaining recognition through broadcast media, really investing in the future of our brand. We are delighted to work with global media and advertising agency Universal McCann, proudly spreading the word about what we do.”
Hobbes (celebritydogHobbes) is being hailed as a hero in the fight against doglessness. Dog companionship has been scientifically proven by the University of St. Andrews to help reduce stress and encourage a person to become more physically and socially active. However, for some people the emotional and financial responsibility of full time pet ownership is impractical. Barking Mad offers the opportunity to join their community of host families, who provide a loving home environment for someone else’s dog whilst they are away. Hosts range from people who are retired and have plenty of free time, to families who love having a dog to stay just for the holidays, as a lovely experience for their school age children. Some hosts even own a dog already but love to welcome an occasional companion for their pet.
So when can you see the advert on TV? Everybody at Barking Mad couldn’t wait for May 15th to watch the premiere. Watching their doggy ‘tail’ air on the Really channel at 10.09am was so exciting and everyone is looking forward to its subsequent airings including ITV at 8.28am on Thursday 25th May and numerous other channels including Sky Living, ITV2, ITV3 and MORE 4.
